Deputy Head of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said this in Brussels. He is quoted by TASS.
It is noted that the EC has proposed a de facto ban on the supply of Russian and Belarusian grain, sunflower seeds and feed crops to the internal market of the European Union.
This is proposed to be done by setting “tariffs so high that it makes their import into the European Union economically unprofitable.”
Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced the start of preparations for the introduction of tariffs on grain products from Russia and Belarus.
