“As a mother, I am with both hands for a complete ban and for my eyes not to see this soda. But as a deputy, I understand that it is very difficult to implement this proposal,” the parliamentarian noted.

At the same time, she emphasized that the fight to ban energy drinks for children continues.

“Because despite the obviousness of their harm, the Ministry of Health did not support our bill. If our justification is not enough for the ministry, we will look for new arguments,” Lantratova said.

In turn, she thanked representatives of the parent community for supporting the initiative and invited them to cooperate in developing a new version of the bill.

Previously, the Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, founder of the National Parental Committee, Irina Volynets, proposed introducing a ban on the sale of highly carbonated non-alcoholic sugar-containing drinks to children under 18 years of age.
