At the House of Representatives Constitutional Review Committee, the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan is unable to agree to hold the meeting at this time, citing that the members are Liberal Democratic Party members involved in the faction's political funding issue and that the explanation is insufficient.

On the other hand, the Liberal Democratic Party claims that the issue of political funds is separate and is calling for an early convening of the review board, resulting in ongoing conflict between the two parties.

Due to the problems surrounding the political funding parties of factions within the Liberal Democratic Party, the House of Representatives Constitution Review Committee has not been held even once in the current Diet session.

The Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan insists that it cannot agree to hold the meeting at this time, citing that pro-Abe politicians are members of the review committee and that the explanation is insufficient.

Acting representative Osaka, who is scheduled to become the opposition party's chief secretary, said, ``I would like the members whose information was not listed to properly explain the total amount and what they used the ``slush funds'' for.I hope the Liberal Democratic Party will show some sincerity in its response.'' If possible, I would like to work towards holding the event."

The Liberal Democratic Party, on the other hand, is calling for an early meeting, arguing that the issue of political funding is separate from discussions on the Constitution.

Former Minister of Defense Nakatani, who serves as the ruling party's lead secretary, said, ``I want the people to understand that the Constitution Review Commission is a forum for discussing the nature of the Constitution, and it is strange that we can't discuss it because we are killing time.''

The Liberal Democratic Party, along with the New Komeito Party and the Nippon Ishin no Kai, plans to call for the meeting to be held on the 28th, but the Constitutional Democratic Party continues to demand full explanations from relevant members, and the two sides continue to be at odds.

On the other hand, the opposition party is planning to subpoena 10 witnesses, including senior members of Abe's faction, at the budget committees of both houses of the House of Representatives regarding this issue, and will hold explanations and questions from relevant members who have not yet attended the Political Ethics Committee. The ruling and opposition parties will continue to hold discussions.
