On the air of the Ukrainian news telethon, Sirota said that there was “a very large amount of damage” at the station.

“Many missile hits in the turbine room of GES-2. That is, today neither one nor the other station is working,” RIA Novosti quotes Sirota.

Now specialists from the state emergency services are still working at the station. The fire was localized there, but smoke makes it difficult to assess the extent of the damage.

According to available data, the HPP-1 and HPP-2 stations were damaged at the facility.

Last night, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, the Ukrainian energy system was subjected to the most powerful attack of all time.
