Once again, France is a pioneer in terms of judicial sentences by convicting 28 people who

were part of the country's largest cyberbullying against Magali Berdah

(42), an influencer with 1.7 million followers on Instagram, character agent for

reality shows

and Regular television talk show host.

The events occurred when in 2022 the French rapper Booba created the social media tag #influvoleurs (thief influencers) which caused many Internet users to send tremendous hate messages such as

"it's a shame that Hitler didn't take care of your grandparents"

or "you deserve to be stoned".

As if this were not enough, the singer also created an email that collected countless anonymous documents in which they supposedly reported having been victims of Magali.

Specifically, he accuses the influencer of deceptive business practices.

The 28 accused people, aged between 20 and 49, have been sentenced to sentences of between 4 and 18 months in prison, fines of up to 700 euros and joint compensation of 54,000 euros for the influencer.

However, Booba was not among those convicted this past Tuesday as she faces

a separate trial in which she is accused of aggravated harassment.

In a statement issued by Magali's lawyers, they considered that the actions of the accused were a consequence of Booba's posts.

A Paris court ruled that the defendants "knew about the cyberbullying suffered by the victim

and consciously made the decision to join in."

These hate crimes caused the plaintiff's mental health to deteriorate and she had already been on the verge of "throwing herself out of the window."

Magali is the mother of three daughters, Shauna, Victoria and Shelly.

After the sentence, Ella Magali expressed that

"my life was destroyed for two years because of this"

and that she "has finally been recognized as a victim."

His legal representatives warned that the convictions showed that "no one is safe behind their keyboard" and stated that they were happy with the verdict by assuring that "the fight continues" and took the opportunity to send on behalf of their client "a very strong message because will bring justice in cyberbullying cases, so it is worth fighting for and we should not give up."

In September, Magali Berdah will return to court in Nice to face another different trial for a money laundering crime and another

for allegedly committing fraud through her company Shauna Events

, in charge of developing strategies between brands and

digital

influencers .
