The Ministry of Water Resources has carried out in-depth unified regulation of water volume in the Yongding River to restore the healthy life of the Yongding River. With the joint efforts of all relevant parties in the basin, full flow will be realized for the first time in 26 years in 2021, full flow will be realized twice in the spring and autumn of 2022, and full flow will be realized for the first time in 2023. There is water throughout the year.
Since it stopped flowing in 1996 and then has water all year round, the Yongding River is gradually regaining its vitality and vitality.
In order to ensure full flow in the spring of 2024, the Ministry of Water Resources has implemented ecological water replenishment in an orderly manner and strengthened scientific and precise dispatching in accordance with the arrangements of the "2024 Yongding River Water Volume Dispatch Plan".
On March 1, Cetian Reservoir opened its gates and released water, Guanting Reservoir increased its discharge flow, and diversion water from the central route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project began to replenish ecological water to the Yongding River. The centralized water replenishment work in spring was fully launched.
On March 7, the entire Yongding River was opened to the public, connecting it with ecological water replenishment in a safe and orderly manner.
According to the scheduling arrangement, this spring full-line movement will last for 80-90 days.
