After investigation and analysis, the direct cause of the accident was that during the casting closing stage of the 2# casting well, when the aluminum liquid level in the mold plate continued to drop, the foundry worker left his job and failed to reduce the casting speed in time; the water pump filter screen was blocked in a large area, and the 4# The casting well diverts the cooling water of the 2# casting well, resulting in insufficient pressure and flow of the cooling water in the 2# casting well, resulting in insufficient and uneven cooling strength of the cast rods.
It was determined that the molten aluminum liquid had not completely crystallized and separated from the crystallization circle, causing the molten aluminum liquid (about 1030 kg) in the mold plate to leak into the casting well over a large area and explode when exposed to water.
The report recommends that the relevant departments of Pingguo City investigate the relevant responsible personnel on the basis of fully analyzing the responsibility for the accident.
