United States: for the presidential election, Biden raises twice as much campaign funds as Trump

There are only eight months left in the race for the White House which will pit Joe Biden against Donald Trump without suspense.

While everyone is campaigning, victory is also at stake in the wallet.

This year's presidential and legislative elections are on track to be among the most expensive in United States history, with a clear advantage for the moment on the Democratic side.

According to the campaign figures communicated so far,

Joe Biden

would have twice as much money as

Donald Trump

.

For the month of February, the outgoing president's team says it has raised more than $53 million jointly with the Democratic Party.

Which makes a total of $155 million, currently in the vaults.

A fortune which will be used to finance Joe Biden's campaign trips and advertisements targeting voters in key states.

On the Donald Trump side, the Republican is increasing his dinners with big donors at his Mar-a-Lago residence, but is still struggling to catch up.

His team spends more than it collects.

Without forgetting the multiple legal costs weighing on Donald Trump due to his numerous trials, costs covered by one of the billionaire's campaign funds.

Despite this, Donald Trump's team assures that everything is going well.

Because even if the Republican is raising less money at the moment, he has already shown that this was not an obstacle to his victory.

In 2016, he beat Hillary Clinton despite a much less successful campaign.
