The volunteers collaborating in the search for the young

Javier Márquez

, who disappeared in

Logroño

more than two weeks ago, have moved the operation this Sunday

from the banks of the Ebro River to the streets of the entire city

.

More than a hundred people have gathered at the 'La Mina' bar, located in the Santa Juliana park in Logroño, where spokespersons for Javier's family have distributed

maps with delimited areas for each group of volunteers

.

This Saturday, the banks of the Ebro River were already checked as it passes through the capital of Rioja, from the Adarraga sports center to the border with Navarra, with the same method of marked spaces to avoid duplicating efforts.

The volunteer raids are taking place in parallel with the operation carried out by

the National Police and the Civil Guard, which uses specialized units

, drones, helicopters, dogs and foot patrols since Javier's disappearance was reported in the early hours of

March 2.

.

This 20-year-old young man, a native of Santo Domingo de la Calzada (La Rioja)

, went to a party with his friends and then went to a nightclub in the Old Town of Logroño, where he was last seen shortly before 6 am.

Javier's friends have received psychological attention this Sunday from the Immediate Emergency Response Team (ERIE) of the Government of La Rioja, since they themselves have requested this support after so many days without hearing anything from him.

Posters, stickers and bracelets

In addition to placing posters with photos of Javier throughout the city,

volunteers wear t-shirts with his photo

and the motto 'Santo Domingo with you', bracelets with the phrase 'Family strength' and stickers with the message 'We are still looking for Javier.'

We are waiting'.

The family spokesperson, Noelia Pascual, told journalists this Sunday that the citizen mobilization in the search for Javier is very comforting to his relatives.

He highlighted "the strength" that the rally held on Saturday afternoon in Santo Domingo de la Calzada, a town in Rioja with 6,000 inhabitants located about 50 kilometers from Logroño, has given the family.

The Plaza de España in this municipality was too small to gather

more than 2,000 people, "a support from the entire region"

for which Javier's maternal uncle, Francisco Villaverde, has stressed that he never tires of thanking.
