How to choose the size of a padel racket?

When you choose your padel racket, remember to adapt it to your size: size, weight,... but also to your playing style. On the market, there are currently three sizes of padel rackets: the classic size is the most common, perfect for beginners.

It combines versatility and power to support the novice player in their first shots.

The midsize model offers the player control and maneuverability.

However, you will need to be careful with shots that require maximum arm extension.

Finally, the oversized model allows you to cover a large receiving area and recover more balls in defense.

The risk is therefore the loss of control of the effect that the player will be able to give in return to his ball, particularly if it is off-center.

Is padel more physical than tennis?

In the match between tennis and padel in terms of physical commitment, it is tennis which could win the set.

Indeed, the padel court being smaller, it is tennis, with its large court, with wider and longer dimensions, which places the greatest strain on the athlete's physique.

Unlike padel, the tennis player must cover areas of play outside the lines.

Since padel is always played in doubles, the court coverage is even more reduced.

Also in padel, the four walls reduce the surface area and the ball becomes easier to reach.

And as for the balls, tennis balls are harder: they require more force to be returned.

Snowshoes are more difficult to handle, larger.

Tennis is also a sport where getting started is more difficult, the novice player is subjected to a lot more balls and returns fewer.

However, you should not consider padel as a sport that puts little strain on the physical form of the players: your way of playing can reverse the comparison with tennis.

Exchanges in padel can also be much longer than in tennis.
