Jericho has been witnessing escalating demolition operations by the occupation forces for more than a year (Anatolia)

The Israeli occupation forces attacked a funeral and prevented the burial of a martyr in a cemetery in the city of Hebron. The Israeli army also demolished 3 Palestinian homes in the east of the occupied West Bank, under the pretext of building without a permit.

The occupation forces fired poison gas bombs towards mourners in the Islamic cemetery near Karantina in central Hebron.

It is noteworthy that a shooting attack took place near the Islamic cemetery in the area the day before yesterday, and led to the martyrdom of the perpetrator, without any casualties among the occupation soldiers.

The occupation army stormed the village of Al-Issawiya in Jerusalem and arrested a number of Palestinians. Al Jazeera’s correspondent also reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Al-Khader and the Dheisha camp in Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.

In the same context, Anadolu Agency quoted eyewitnesses that an Israeli force raided the Al-Mantar area, east of Jericho Governorate, accompanied by military bulldozers, and demolished a house under construction, two mobile homes, and fences.

They added that the force demolished the facilities under the pretext of building without a permit in areas classified as “C,” according to the Oslo II Accords of 1995.

Jericho has been witnessing escalating demolitions for more than a year, according to Anadolu's correspondent.

The Israeli authorities prevent construction or land reclamation in Area C without permits, which are almost impossible to obtain, according to the Palestinians.

The “Oslo II” agreement classified the West Bank lands into 3 areas: “A”, which is subject to full Palestinian control, “B”, which is subject to Israeli security, civil, and Palestinian administrative control, and “C”, which is subject to Israeli civil, administrative, and security control, and the latter constitutes about 60% of the territory. The area of the West Bank.

Today's demolition comes at a time when the Israeli army has continued, since October 7, 2023, a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, accompanied by an escalation of raids, arrests, and killings in the occupied West Bank, including the city of East Jerusalem.
