Agents of the National Police have dismantled a criminal group formed by four Venezuelans dedicated to the theft of high-end watches aboard motorcycles in luxury terraces in Madrid.

Two of them looked for the victims in areas of high purchasing power, providing the data to the other members of the group, who committed the robbery using firearms.

They are accused of the robbery that occurred on the terrace of the La Mamona restaurant in La Castellana that occurred last January.

In the searches, 17 high-end watches were located, as well as narcotic substances and money.

The investigation began in December of last year in the Madrid district of Chamartín when two individuals, wearing motorcycle helmets and dark warm clothing, stalked a vehicle driven by a man wearing a watch from a highly prestigious brand.

After getting out of the car, they approached him, pointing a gun at him with the intention of taking his watch, but failing to achieve their goal and immediately fleeing the scene on a motorcycle.

Days later, on January 19, the same two men, again carrying a firearm, entered a restaurant in the Madrid district of Salamanca and went to a specific table to, through intimidation and violence, steal two watches. of recognized brands to two of the diners who were dining at that time.

Subsequently, they left the establishment quickly, fleeing on a motorcycle.

As the investigation advanced, the agents were able to verify that there was a criminal group made up of four people.

Two of them were in charge of selecting the victims in areas of high purchasing power and subsequently providing the information to the other two members.

Once they had all the information, they went to the scene on motorcycles and with firearms to carry out the robbery.

Once identified, on the sixth day a police operation was carried out to locate them, resulting in their arrest at their own homes.

At the time of the arrest, two of the four detainees were wearing five high-end watches, and in the two searches carried out, 226 MDMA pills, 19 grams of pink cocaine and 3,500 euros in cash were found.

Currently, investigators are taking steps to determine the ownership of these watch pieces.
