Yacouba is one of the survivors

of the Bibgou and Soualmou massacres

on February 29.

In these villages, between the towns of Gayéri and Fada N'Gourma, armed and uniformed individuals carried out real carnage, according to this man, first on concessions inhabited by Fulani.

And then on the gourmet population.

“

Around 2

p.m., the soldiers came to the villages.

When they arrived at the Fulani, they found no one.

They had all fled.

They burned their houses.

We stayed with our families, they told us to line up.

Before they even fired, everyone raised their hands.

The soldiers said to give up.

They lowered them and then the soldiers shot at them.

The number of dead can reach 150 people and the injured exceed 40 because the soldiers took a few wounded and took them to Gayéri.

While it seems that the military was looking for terrorists.

This witness, who had the reflex to lie down during the executions, cannot explain the reason for such reprisals against civilians.

 After that, I got up.

I went to see where our family members were killed.

My father is dead, my mother and my wife too, she is dead.

There are children, pregnant women, old women... They were all killed.

Now we wonder why?

It's incomprehensible !

That's how it happened.
