The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the crews of Su-34 fighter-bombers attacked the enemy command post and manpower in the South Donetsk direction.

Meanwhile, a unit of the assault battalion named after the Hero of Russia, Major Viktor Omelkov, of the Ivanovo formation of airborne troops captured a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces north-west of Artyomovsk.
