The legal services of the San Sebastián de los Reyes City Council are investigating a series of possible irregularities when hiring the singer Antonio Carmona, during the last legislature, for a performance that took place in April 2023. The case has already been brought to the attention of the Legal Commission of the Community of Madrid.

According to the documents, on April 29, the former vocalist of Ketama and backup singer of C. Tangana was hired on his last tour, along with his current team, for a performance in the Madrid town.

A former Ciudadanos advisor, former coordinator of Celebrations, allegedly signed the contracting documents with a false ID, name and signature

.

«The vice mayor with the mayor divides the contracts, together with the advisor, so that they are minor contracts.

One is Carmona, as a singer;

another that of Los Carmona, which includes musicians and accompanists, and the last referring to lights and sound.

The elections happen, there is a change of Government [the PP forms a Government], the bill arrives and the auditor says that this is illegal," details Juan Torres, spokesperson for Izquierda Independiente, who highlights that

the singer has not yet received the money for his action, which had been established in a payment of 36,000 euros.

The signatory, Miguel Moreno de las Heras, supposedly signed the contract with a different surname, which corresponds to

Coleta

.

Likewise,

this former advisor did not have the authority to award said contract, given that he was not part of the municipal government as he was not a councilor

.

De las Heras, a street sweeper for the Madrid City Council, appeared in the lists of Neighbors for Sanse [new name for Citizens] in sixth position.

The formation obtained a single councilor.

Now, De las Heras

could face a crime of usurpation of public functions

, punishable by sentences of between one and three years in prison, and

another of falsification of a public document

.

At the head of the local Executive was Narciso Romero Morro, from the PSOE, and Miguel Ángel Martín Perdiguero, from Ciudadanos, who also held the positions of Celebrations, served as vice mayor.

He is currently the only councilor of the formation.

From the Municipal Group of the PSOE in the town they emphasize that the matter in question was not within Romero's jurisdiction: "It belongs to the Councilor for Celebrations, Miguel Ángel Martín Perdiguero."

For their part, since the formation of Martín Perdiguero they maintain that they followed "the instructions of the technicians at the Contracting Board" and attribute this event to "a person within the City Council's staff, linked to the PP."

"He has tried to make our lives impossible, without any success," they point out from those around him.

For his part,

De las Heras emphasizes to EL MUNDO that he is no longer part of the Consistory,

that "it has nothing to do with it" and that he does not know if the artist has already been paid.

This newspaper has tried on several occasions to contact Carmona and his legal representative, but it has not been possible.

The City Council remains silent "until the municipal legal services speak out."

"They are deciding which route to take: administrative, criminal, civil or whatever," they conclude in the current corporation.
