Ireland once again adorned with shamrocks and green, for St. Patrick's Day 2024

A color: green.

And a symbol: the clover.

The Irish are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day this Sunday, March 17!

Street theater, traditional parade of course... Through floats and brass bands, all of Irish culture is celebrated.

And of course, a must-visit the pubs.

Lots of beers raised in honor of the man who supposedly brought Christianity to the country.

With our correspondent in Dublin,

The Guinness is flowing.

Sean explains that St. Patrick's Day is a marathon: “

I love St. Patrick's Day!

I have a bit of a headache though, it's a full three day weekend, so luckily we have Bank Holiday Monday, it's a bit easier to have a hangover!

Obviously, lots of Americans on the streets of Dublin.

Like Californian Connie Corcoran, Irish flag painted on her cheeks and essential raincoat on her back.

“

My great-grandfather was Irish and I have lived in Ireland for several years,”

she confides.

I never miss St. Patrick's Day.

It's so nice, even if it's raining.

The only thing here: you must never forget your umbrella!

First time in the country for Cass, who came specially from Canada.

This is the opportunity for her to have a pretty fern and the word “Eire”, “Ireland” in Gaelic, tattooed on her arm.

“

The fern,”

she said,

“represents magical properties.

Anything mythology and fairy tales, I love that kind of thing.

Plus, half of my family is Irish, so it made sense to me.

With all the photos and videos I've taken, and now this, Ireland is with me forever, haha!

Like Cass, thousands of visitors to Ireland this weekend now have the country in their skin.
