Plumes of smoke rising following an Israeli bombing on the town of Marwahin, south of Lebanon (French)

The Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it had targeted a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers, while Israeli aircraft carried out raids on areas in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah confirmed that its fighters targeted - at dawn on Sunday - a gathering of Israeli soldiers opposite the town of Wazzani, in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, confirming that the target was hit accurately.

This came a day after the party announced the implementation of 6 attacks on Israeli military sites off the Lebanese border and in the occupied Kfar Shuba hills.

On the other hand, Israeli warplanes carried out raids on the towns of Khiam, Alma al-Shaab, Aita al-Shaab, and Marwahin in southern Lebanon.

Bombing and intimidation

The Lebanese News Agency said that the occupation artillery bombed the Marjayoun Plain, to intimidate farmers and livestock herders with the aim of forcing them to retreat from the place.

The agency reported that Israeli warplanes also targeted a house in the town of Aitaroun, firing two air-to-surface missiles in its direction, which led to its destruction.

The Israeli army announced that last night it targeted a Hezbollah military building in the Khiam area, and a Hezbollah observation point in Kafr Kila, southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army spokesman said that warplanes bombed two Hezbollah military buildings in the Mays al-Jabal area, an observation point, and a military building in Marwahin.

The border areas in southern Lebanon have witnessed security tension and an exchange of fire between the Israeli army and elements of the resistance in Lebanon, since October 8, after Israel declared war on Gaza.
