Erdogan: The Islamic world did not succeed in testing Gaza well (Anatolia)

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan believed that the Islamic world had not succeeded in the test of the Gaza Strip, indicating the necessity of public self-criticism, and in this context he stressed that his country had not turned its back on Gaza.

In an attempt to respond to the criticism directed at the Turkish position on the Gaza Strip, Erdogan explained - in a speech during his participation in the “Old Friends Iftar” event in Istanbul - that “Turkey defends with all its capabilities its brothers in Gaza, and lies and attempts at misinformation cannot cover up this.” the truth".

He also criticized the position of the Islamic world, saying, "We must admit that the Islamic world did not pass this test well."

Erdogan expressed his belief that the sooner the Islamic world carries out self-criticism publicly, the better it will be for the Palestinian people and the entire Islamic nation.

Erdogan stressed that Muslims welcomed the holy month of Ramadan this year with a heavy heart, due to what is happening in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

In his speech, he recalled the amount of humanitarian aid sent by Turkey to Gaza, which exceeded 40 thousand tons, indicating that this aid will continue.

He stressed that Turkey, as it did before, did not turn its back on any of its brothers, "today it supports its brothers in Gaza by all means."

Erdogan pointed out in his speech that "Israel is not alone, as it is an equation composed of dozens of supporters standing behind it."

He renewed his attack on Israel, pointing out that despite the diplomatic efforts made, they did not have the expected effect, given “Israel’s corruption, arrogance, and lawlessness.”
