Israel purchased more Iron Dome systems (Anatolia)

Demand for military equipment due to Israel's war on the Gaza Strip and Russia's war on Ukraine led sales of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) to an all-time high in 2023, ensuring orders worth $18 billion compared to $15.6 billion in 2022. According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

War sales

According to business results, some of which were published by the Israeli newspaper, sales increased 7% last year, which is the highest level ever, and profits increased 49%, bringing their total to $318 million, which are unprecedented numbers.

Sales of companies affiliated with the Israeli Aerospace Industries Company increased, including Elta Systems, which produces Iron Dome radars and David’s Sling defense systems, and its sales reached $3.8 billion, of which $1.5 billion were in Israel only.

In the last quarter of last year, with the beginning of the war on Gaza, the Aerospace Industries Company achieved a profit of $79 million, compared to $11 million in 2022, and sales increased by 6%.

The company's CEO, Boaz Levy, said that his company's employees made "great efforts" to meet the requirements of Israel's security needs, in addition to the company's clients abroad.

Air and sea bridge

It is noteworthy that Israel has not stopped receiving weapons since the Al-Aqsa Flood operation launched by the Palestinian resistance on October 7 against the occupation in the Gaza Strip. Last month, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, unveiled legislation requiring the provision of new military aid to Israel worth $17.6 billion as part of its war on Gaza, adding large quantities of ammunition and weapons. According to Israeli media, the arms shipments included dozens of F-35 and F-15 fighters and Apache helicopters.

The Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" earlier revealed what it described as an "unprecedented air and sea bridge in the history of Israel" to supply it with American weapons, in support of its war in Gaza.
