On this last day of the presidential election, hundreds of Russians gathered this Sunday noon in front of the polling station of the Russian embassy in Paris.

An initiative launched by supporters of Alexeï Navalny, to allow voters to show their opposition to Vladimir Putin without taking any risks.

On this last day of the Russian presidential election, supporters of the late opponent Alexeï Navalny called on voters to go to the polling stations at noon sharp, to show their opposition to the master of the Kremlin.

A movement followed in Russia, notably in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, but also in Paris.

At noon, hundreds of Russians arrived in front of the Russian embassy, ​​located in the 16th arrondissement, as observed by Europe 1 on site.

“Show that there are people who are against everything that happens in the country”

Despite the rain, a very large queue stretched several hundred meters.

While everything is peaceful, most Russians are extremely determined to show their opposition to Vladimir Putin.

“The message is clear. I come at noon, so I want to show that there are people who are against everything that is happening in the country,” says Polina.

“Unfortunately, I think the vote is a foregone conclusion. But still, it’s very important to come, to show your position.”
