American activist Shaun King, who recently converted to Islam, is famous for his great support for Gaza (social networking sites)

There are two different events in the West in terms of time and place, but both indicate the existence of different interactions with Islam and Muslims and the Western contradiction in absorbing different values from it. This is what writer Rahim Eyer spoke about in a report published by the “Turkish Newspaper.”

Ayer emphasized that these two events reflect the state of the spiritual situation in the West, as one of them occurred in the United States of America before the beginning of the month of Ramadan, and the other in France after the beginning of the holy month.

The writer stated that the first event concerned American Sean King (44 years old), a writer and activist who has millions of followers on social media platforms, and was famous for supporting Gaza and standing against Israel’s daily massacres, and this caused him many troubles.

King studied social sciences at Morehouse College in the state of Georgia, and in 2008, he took classes at the seminary, then founded a church in Atlanta that he called the “Church of the Brave” and served as its president for 4 years, but he left one day before the beginning of the month of Ramadan with his wife. Ray went to the Valley Ranch Islamic Center in Texas to pronounce the Shahada.

Offensive caricature

The writer adds that the second event is linked to Corinne Ray (41 years old), a French journalist and cartoonist, who uses the pseudonym “Coco” to sign her drawings.

He added that the journalist publishes in the French newspaper Liberation, and her cartoons insulting Islam and Turkey were published in the French magazine "Charlie Hebdo", which is known for its hostility to Islam and immigrants.

One day after the beginning of the month of Ramadan, “Coco” published offensive cartoons of the citizens of Gaza who face daily Israeli massacres.

Liberation newspaper published this cartoon under the title “Ramadan in Gaza.” It depicts a family from Gaza, where an angry woman appears next to a tired child with a tired look on his face, and mice escaping with bones and the head of the family is chasing them with a mouth dripping with saliva, while a hand appears stuck among the rubble.

In the offensive cartoon, the husband earnestly seeks to get the bones from the rat's mouth for breakfast, while the wife opposes him by saying, "Not before breakfast time!"

The report criticized this "disgraceful act," saying, "This is the height of insult, this is the utmost injustice, this is the height of hatred, this is hostility to Islam. This is the utmost level of hatred and hostility to Islam."

According to the writer, the responsibility for publishing the offensive caricature falls not only on the artist, but also on all officials of the newspaper that chose “Freedom” as its name.

The writer pointed out that these cartoons blatantly mock everyone who died of hunger in Gaza, the holy month of Ramadan, and two billion Muslims.

He stressed that Gaza divided humanity into two halves: “While there are good people whose consciences are still alive despite the positions of their governments, such as the King family, there are people like Coco from Paris whose brutality has reached the level of madness,” as he described it.
