The hunger crisis is worsening

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that one Palestinian was martyred and others were injured as a result of a stampede to obtain aid dropped by aircraft in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, at a time when international relief organizations continue to sound the alarm due to the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the besieged Strip.

This coincided with the worsening features of the humanitarian crisis in the northern Gaza Strip, in light of the severe shortage of basic materials as a result of Israel preventing the entry of food aid and the absence of the most basic supplies in the markets in the northern Gaza Strip, which caused escalation in warnings of a real famine lurking among the population.

Truce talks continue

On the political level, senior Israeli officials are expected to arrive in Qatar to resume ceasefire talks, and while the Israeli war council will be held to discuss the prisoner return deal, the White House expressed a cautious tone of optimism after Hamas presented a proposal to secure a ceasefire.

A source told Reuters - on Saturday - that the head of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad), David Barnea, is expected to resume ceasefire talks in Gaza with the Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, and Egyptian officials in Doha tomorrow, Sunday.

Houthi attacks

On another front of the conflict, the Washington Post reported that President Joe Biden's administration seeks to "identify the sea routes used by Iran to transfer weapons to the Houthi group" in Yemen.

But this mission faces obstacles and challenges, according to officials who spoke to the American newspaper.

The American efforts come while the Houthi group continues to target Israeli, British, and American ships in the Red Sea, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to Israeli aggression since the seventh of last October.
