  • ANC Judicial setback to the Catalan National Assembly for committing a "boycott" against "Ibex 35 companies, the BOE or the Bernabéu box"

  • Independence The ANC will decide in March whether to compete in the next Catalan elections against ERC and Junts

The Catalan National Assembly (ANC) will not present a candidacy in the next regional elections, called for May 12.

The partners of the independence entity, organizer of the large Diada demonstrations in the process, have rejected the proposal of the leadership headed by Dolors Feliu to go to the polls with a "civic list" to compete with Esquerra Republicana, Junts per Catalunya and the CUP, the three secessionist forces with parliamentary representation.

The division that in recent months has aroused, within the ANC, the formation of a candidacy composed of people outside the political parties has reached the moment of the final vote held this morning, the result of which reflects a split association in two.

Of the 7,599 members who participated, 3,660 members have opted for the

yes

ballot (48.16%) and 3,758 (49.45%) have rejected the civic list.
