The diplomat said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Zelensky and other representatives of his clique are not interested in serious substantive negotiations.
Their whole interest is in Russia’s capitulation,” the agency’s interlocutor emphasized.
Polyansky added that the Kiev regime still harbors illusions that Ukraine will be able to achieve a military victory over Russia.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia is ready for dialogue to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
Also, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that Russia has never refused a diplomatic settlement of the situation with Ukraine.
