The

ranchers

and

farmers

return this Sunday, March 17 to Madrid.

Five columns

of

tractors

, summoned by the Union of Farmers and Livestock Unions, will arrive in the capital from Guadalajara, Cuenca, Toledo, Ávila and Burgos.

In this way, they resume

protests

in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, as they have already done on several occasions in recent weeks.

On their way to their starting point, the tractors will circulate through such central streets as

Alcalá

, Francisco Silvela, Joaquín Costa,

O'Donnell

, Doctor Esquerdo, Delicias,

Méndez Álvaro

, Príncipe de Vergara,

Alberto Aguilera

, José Abascal or Mateo Inurria.

Ministry of Ecological Transition

(located in the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz), and will run through Castellana

,

Paseo de

Recoletos

and Paseo del

Prado

, to the

Ministry of Agriculture

(Paseo de la Infanta Isabel).

The rally

will start at 11:30

a.m. and is scheduled to

end

around 2:00 p.m.

During this period

the central area of Madrid will suffer traffic cuts

and before and after there may also be problems in the entry and exit of tractors towards the heart of Madrid.

The

protest will end

around

2:00 p.m.

, although the protests are expected to last until approximately 4:00 p.m., according to the Government Delegation in Madrid.

Union of Unions

has called for this new mobilization considering that

the Ministry of Agriculture is not taking measures to solve the

underlying problem:

unfair competition

from countries outside the EU that market their products with lower requirements than local ones.

A day that they hope will be fun and supportive, since at the beginning of the rally at the doors of Ecological Transition

they plan to donate about 125 liters of extra virgin olive oil to Father Ángel's Messengers for Peace organization,

while At the end of the tractor rally, it is planned that they will donate blood to Agriculture.

"It is a symbolic act, because we are leaving our blood on the field and we want it to be a measure of solidarity with the rest of society," he indicated.
