China News Service, Astana, March 16, Tashkent News: Kazakh Prime Minister Bektenov arrived in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on the 15th local time to start a working visit to the country.

  According to information released on the website of the Prime Minister's Office of Kazakhstan and the website of the Presidential Office of Uzbekistan on the evening of the 15th, Bektenov held talks with Uzbek President Mirziyoyev that day.

The two sides pointed out that they will fundamentally expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and continue to maintain close contact at the government level.

  During the talks, the two sides stated that the cooperative relationship between Kazakhstan and Ukraine is based on mutual trust and understanding, which is an important prerequisite for maintaining bilateral partnership.

By the end of 2023, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries has reached US$4.5 billion, and the two governments are systematically implementing investment and industrial projects, which will further stimulate the growth of trade volume.

  In addition, the two sides also discussed issues of deepening the partnership between the two countries and cooperation in key areas.

Both sides pointed out that efforts should be made to eliminate trade barriers and adopt coordinated measures to promote the construction of infrastructure projects in the fields of transportation and energy, which will play an important role in promoting coordinated regional development.

  It is reported that the talks between the Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Ukraine will be held on the same day.

During the talks, the two sides noted the progress made in the field of industrial cooperation. Both sides believed that the construction of the "Central Asia" International Industrial Cooperation Center will enhance the multi-field interaction between the two countries and promote the integrated development of the Central Asian region.

  According to statistics, within the framework of industrial cooperation, the two countries have jointly implemented about 60 projects with a total amount of US$2.6 billion, and created more than 10,000 jobs.

In this regard, Bektenov said that Kazakhstan is ready to expand export supplies to Ukraine, involving a total amount of nearly 500 million US dollars.
