Commenting on RIA Novosti's statement by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan that new opportunities are being discussed in Yerevan, including the idea of joining the EU, the diplomat noted with regret that Russia has been seeing and discussing this trend for quite some time.
“We are talking, including very confidentially, with our Armenian colleagues and partners, with one goal - to warn,” the agency’s interlocutor noted, adding that some of Moscow’s arguments were accepted by Yerevan.
Earlier, the situation in the region was discussed by the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Russia Mirzoyan and Sergei Lavrov by phone.
