Support for Ukraine: France, Germany and Poland show their unity
After the public display of differences in the strategy to adopt to support Ukraine, France and Germany wanted to display their unity.
To reinforce this message, a meeting in the so-called “Weimar” format was held this Friday March 15 around Chancellor Scholz in Berlin, with Emmanuel Macron and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Emmanuel Macron, whose declarations on possible ground forces in Ukraine had greatly irritated Berlin, made a gesture towards Germany by rejecting “
any initiative of any escalation
”.

The Chancellor announced the establishment of a coalition of Ukraine's allies to provide long-range artillery to Ukraine.
The willingness to purchase weapons outside Europe if necessary was confirmed.
And profits from Russian assets frozen in Europe will be used to finance these purchases.
