Television host Stéphane Plaza has been placed under judicial supervision pending his trial this summer for violence against two former partners, the Paris prosecutor's office said on Friday, requested by AFP.

During his police custody, “Stéphane Plaza clearly reiterated that he was not violent, had not been and never would be,” his lawyers Hélène Plumet and Carlo reacted in a press release. Alberto Brusa.

“In view of the investigation carried out and the documents in the file, Stéphane Plaza remains totally confident” and “calmly awaits his hearing to confirm his innocence and concentrates on his work,” they added.

Ban on contact with victims for Plaza

At the end of his police custody, the real estate agent, popularized by his various broadcasts on M6, was presented Thursday to a magistrate who gave him a summons for habitual physical and/or psychological violence by a partner on two former companions.

A judge of freedoms and detention then placed him under judicial supervision, in accordance with the prosecution's requisitions.

As part of this measure, Stéphane Plaza is prohibited from coming into contact with the victims and must receive treatment, "which is usual in matters of domestic violence", specified the prosecution.

According to his lawyers, "he deplores the numerous leaks from the investigation, constituting criminal offenses, giving rise to amalgamations and untruths which pollute the manifestation of the truth and violate the presumption of his innocence".

The host firmly denied these accusations, ensuring he had “a clear conscience” in December on his Instagram account.
