Commenting on the statement by French President Emmanuel Macron that Russia is an enemy for the country, Peskov noted that this is obvious to Paris, since the French side is already drawn into the conflict in Ukraine.

“She is indirectly taking part in this war, and judging by Mr. President’s statements, she is not averse to increasing the degree of her involvement,” Peskov said.

Earlier, the director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, said that Macron’s words about the possibility of sending Western military personnel to Ukraine to participate in hostilities are crazy dreams.

It was reported that almost 60% of French residents in a survey expressed the opinion that Macron went too far in helping Ukraine.
