She said this at an international conference at the CEC information center.

“This morning there was a powerful cyber attack on our video surveillance system in the Tyumen region,” Pamfilova said.

According to her, the attack was external and professionally planned. 

The head of the Central Election Commission suggested that “this is already the level of the special services, and not some kind of anarchist cyber hackers.”

“I’m afraid I’ll jinx it, but we’re coping,” she noted.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Digital Development is ready to withstand a large number of cyber attacks on the electoral system during the presidential elections.
