Cleaning emblematic buildings using spray drones is the objective of the company 1001-Solutions.

After the Château de Sully in the Loiret, the company moved on to the Dôme de Paris, the famous concert hall of the Palais des Sports.

Controller in hand, Henri sends the two-meter-long drone to the Dôme de Paris, an immense building made of aluminum which has oxidized over the years.

Since its construction in 1959, this is the first time it has been cleaned.

“Under the drone, there is a 60-meter pipe, which goes to a tank where there is a pump which will allow us to bring the product to the Dome and spray it in specific locations,” explains the drone pilot.

Make cleaning easier and safer

The propeller-driven machine goes up to 60 meters and allows access to certain difficult-to-access parts.

“This drone makes it possible to intervene up to the top of the Dome without the need for rope access technicians and to avoid the risk of employees falling,” explains Didier Dardeau, president of 1001-Solutions.

For those responsible for the Dome, this operation allows an emblematic building of the city of Paris to shine once again.

“The fact that it is classified as a remarkable monument by the Ministry of Culture and by the region means that it was important for us to clean it, to refurbish it before the Olympic Games,” says Denis Chevassu, the technical director. of the Dome.

This makeover has a major advantage for Denis: it costs half as much as a classic cleaning.
