A song calling for the bombing of Gaza homes (Anatolia Agency)

An Israeli "rap" song calling for the killing of Palestinians and the bombing of their homes in Gaza and the West Bank topped social networking sites this week, even though it was released last November, but it only achieved widespread popularity during the past few days, and the number of views reached more than 1.8 million on Youtube.

The lyrics of the song, known as "Shagir" or "Launch", contain explicit calls to blow up homes, as in the line: "We'll make sure Gaza becomes a happy amusement park/And we'll blow up your house for free."

The song, produced by Israeli Eliad Sapir and rappers Tali Baz and Aviv Rasky, expresses in its lyrics admiration for Israel’s ongoing aggression against Gaza, which has claimed the lives of more than 31,000 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children.

The song draws up battle plans and defines its goals, as its words say:

“The Air Force knows/ They came to set the price/ No more hitting rooftops/ No more advance warnings today/ We came in uniform/ We didn’t come to play/ From kisses to guns until Gaza is wiped out.”

The song also called for the killing of Palestinians in Jenin and the West Bank with the words: “And Jenin is under the virgin curse / There are many goals.”

On the other hand, the song faces criticism, and some have called it a “genocide anthem.”

Extermination songs

Weeks ago, another song, “Harbu Darbu,” received more than 20 million views on YouTube, and called for the killing of singer Dua Lipa and model Bella Hadid, after the two stars called for a ceasefire in Gaza.

"Harbo Harbo" sparked a state of anger and resentment across social media platforms, after it topped the music and song platforms, because it included explicit incitement to exterminate the defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The song was released by the Israeli rap duo, Nisia Levy, who served in the Israeli army for a year, with the role of Soroker, who previously sang about drugs. It recently topped the song charts in Israel and achieved more than 18 million views on YouTube since its release last November.

The duo incited against the Palestinian people through the song, which shows pictures of occupation army soldiers in a meeting with Herzi Halevy, Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army.

At the end of last November, Israeli media published a video clip of a concert by Israeli singer Renate Bar, in front of Israeli army soldiers, threatening the leader of the Palestinian Hamas movement, the head of its political office in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, and the Secretary-General. To the Lebanese Hezbollah, death.

The lyrics of the song that Renate sang were: “Tomorrow Yahya Sinwar will die, and all of Gaza will die,” in a clear and explicit threat to the Palestinian leader.
