Taurus Systems managing director Joachim Knopf said in January 2024 that missile production could be resumed "as soon as possible" subject to an order being placed, but these estimates may be too optimistic.

Increasing or resuming cruise missile production "can't be done overnight," said Douglas Barry, senior research fellow for military aerospace at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.

According to him, quoted by the publication, the supply chain must also increase production or resume production of components, and all this will take time.

Earlier, Bundestag deputies again voted against the supply of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine.
