“Two criminal cases have been initiated against two residents of Borisoglebsk based on a crime under Article 141 of the Criminal Code of Russia (obstruction of the exercise of electoral rights or the work of election commissions),” the department said in a statement on Telegram.

According to the investigation, on Friday morning, a 58-year-old woman “poured a dye into a ballot box” at a polling station in the Northern microdistrict of Borisoglebsk, and a 66-year-old local resident did the same at a polling station in the South-Eastern microdistrict of the city.

Earlier, a criminal case was opened in Moscow after the arson of a voting booth.
