Dear, dear members of the Citizens' Council!

On behalf of my group, I would also like to thank you very much for your commitment and your recommendations.

In numerous conversations, I was able to personally see for myself how seriously and with how much passion you took on the topic and developed important impulses.

We take your suggestions very seriously here in the German Bundestag.

This is democracy in action, and I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart!

Much of what you are proposing is, let me be clear, very good and extremely desirable.

They put in a lot of effort.

Now it's our turn as professionals.

You have to know: such regulations are more complicated than many people think.

We will first refer each of your suggestions to the responsible committee and discuss them with the competent specialist politicians there.

They understand the subject matter and also have good contacts with industry experts, who of course also have creative ideas.

None of us are experts.

Except for the experts.

And also remember: A lot of what you suggest is a state matter, so there's nothing we can do here anyway.

There is also a fundamental question of financing.

And that brings us quickly to the question of justice.

Not easy!

You may already have guessed, and I want to be completely honest: nothing will come of it.

But that doesn't matter, because that's democracy too: being there is everything.

And so I would like to warmly invite you to take part in the next Citizens' Assembly with such commitment.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with when it comes to combating disillusionment with politics!

Thanks again!

And have a nice day.
