The mansion of actress and model

Cara Delevingne

in Los Angeles was consumed by flames in the early hours of Friday in a fire that left

two people affected: a firefighter and a person who was in the house

when the events occurred.

The actress was not in the house at the time of the incident, which left a firefighter injured and taken out of the area, while another person who was in the house suffered slight smoke inhalation, according to a statement from the Department. Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters indicated that the fire consumed a room at the back of the house, a luxurious 600-square-meter mansion,

became a raging fire in the attic and collapsed the roof of the property.

According to the statement, 94 firefighters traveled to the home

, taking two hours to access the home

and extinguish the flames.

In an Instagram story, Delevingne posted a photo of her cats with the caption "My heart is broken. I can't believe it. Life can change in the blink of an eye, so appreciate what you have," which seems to indicate that the fire caused the death of their pets.

However, two hours later, the actress happily celebrated that

her cats were alive "thanks to the firefighters."

The actress also uploaded a video in which several fire engines appear in front of her house, located in the Studio City neighborhood, and a text in which she thanked her for her work and that of the people "who came to help."

In 2021, Delevingne showed off her stunning home (built in 1971), which she called an "adult playhouse," in a YouTube video on the Architectural Digest channel that has more than 9 million views.

The British actress, famous for her role in films such as 'Paper Towns' and 'Anna Karenina',

is now in London,

where she plays the character of Sally Bowles in the play 'Cabaret', at the Playhouse Theatre.
