The children’s condition is assessed as stable, the director of the medical institution, Elena Petryaykina, told Izvestia.

“There are 12 girls and 20 boys among those hospitalized. Doctors have already conducted an initial examination and ordered a full diagnostic examination,” the interlocutor said.

Each child is a citizen of Russia and is under the personal care of Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, the newspaper writes.

As it became known on March 10, another group of Russian children who were in refugee camps in Syria was returned to Russia.
