At the meeting, a reporter asked: On March 6, when visiting members of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee attending the CPPCC meeting, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized that the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee should further find its correct position, give full play to its advantages, take active actions, and better unite in the overall situation of its work with Taiwan. All patriotic forces that can be united at home and abroad, and on and off the island, continue to strengthen their anti-independence and promote reunification forces and jointly promote the process of the peaceful reunification of the motherland.
We should actively promote cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation in science and technology, agriculture, humanities, youth development and other fields, and deepen cross-Strait integrated development in various fields.
Some public opinion believes that this shows that the mainland's policy towards Taiwan will not change due to the election results on the island, but its efforts to oppose "independence", promote reunification, and promote integration will be strengthened.
