The United States also participated in the emergency meeting, and U.S. State Department Spokesperson Miller stated that the members of the interim government's council will be decided within the next 48 hours, and that an interim prime minister will be appointed soon. .



Regarding the establishment of a transitional government council in Haiti, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a statement saying, ``We will act responsibly to restore democratic institutions and take steps to implement the agreement.'' The United Nations will continue to provide support.
