  The total length of the left line between the Dongshen working shaft and the Universiade North Station is 2725.441m. It is a double-hole single-line structure. It starts from the east end of the Dongshen working shaft and receives at the underground end well of the Universiade North Station, with a total of 1515 loops.

The shield tunnel passes through muddy siltstone, gravelly clay soil, silty clay, limestone, and marble; during the shield tunneling process, it continuously penetrates the Youganpu fault zone, Longfengshan, Longcheng fault zone, high-speed bridge, Overpasses, water pipe culverts and other poor geology and existing structures in use.

Inter-regional gas, communication, electricity and other pipelines are crisscrossed, and the geological conditions are complex, making construction difficult.

In order to ensure the smooth launch of the Eastern Region Shield, the construction unit continued to optimize the construction plan, integrate construction resources, strengthen construction organization, and finally complete the node goals on schedule, and the project successfully entered a new stage of track construction.

  The Qianhai Free Trade Zone to Ping section of the Shenzhen-Huizhou intercity railway starts from Qianhai Free Trade Zone, Shenzhen City, passes through Qianhai, Nanshan District, Longhua District, Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Fenggang Town, Dongguan City, and ends at Pingdi Low Carbon City, Longgang District. The main line is about 58.9 kilometers long (52.836 kilometers in Shenzhen City and 6.024 kilometers in Dongguan City).

The designed speed of the line is 160 kilometers per hour, and there are 11 underground stations along the entire line.

Shenzhen-Huizhou Intercity is an important part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao intercity railway transportation network. After completion, it will form a "one-hour transportation circle" between the Qianhai-Shekou Free Trade Area, Dongguan City, and Huizhou City.
