A previous operation by the Al-Qassam Brigades against the Israeli army in Gaza (social networking sites)
The Palestinian resistance announced on Tuesday that it had set up ambushes for the Israeli army, killing and wounding a number of its soldiers in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that it detonated two explosive devices with Israeli forces and clashed with their members in the residential city of Hamad, north of Khan Yunis, leaving them dead and wounded.
It added that its fighters clashed with the two Israeli forces from zero distance, noting that Israeli planes were spotted evacuating the dead and wounded after the battle.
The Al-Qassam Brigades also announced that it had targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with an Al-Yassin 105 shell in Hamad Town, which has been subjected to intense Israeli bombardment for days.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced the detonation of an explosive device by an occupation force of 6 individuals barricaded in an apartment in Hamad Town as well.
Al-Saraya also said, in a statement, that its forces bombed gatherings of occupation forces in Hamad Town with mortar shells.
The Al-Qassam Brigades announced yesterday that they were engaged in fierce clashes with the occupation forces on various fronts of the fighting in the Gaza Strip.
Occupation operations
Meanwhile, the Israeli military spokesman said that army forces are continuing their military operations in Hamad Town in Khan Yunis.
The Israeli spokesman spoke about the killing of 4 Palestinian militants who were trying to plant explosive devices near a building where Israeli forces were present in Hamad Town.
He pointed out that the Israeli Air Force bombed buildings and infrastructure that he described as terrorist in the Gaza Strip.
Simultaneously, the Israeli army announced that 3 soldiers were injured in battles in Gaza during the past 24 hours.
The Israeli occupation army recently expanded the scope of its operations in Khan Yunis, and described the fighting there as very difficult.
The occupation forces are facing fierce resistance in Khan Yunis, as well as in the center and north of the Gaza Strip, at a time when the Israeli army continues to commit daily massacres against defenseless civilians, especially those searching for food.
