French deputies voted, Tuesday March 12, by a clear majority in favor of the security agreement signed between France and Ukraine in response to the Russian invasion.

During this non-binding vote which followed a debate in the National Assembly organized at the request of the government, during which Prime Minister Gabriel Attal called on elected officials not to "run away from their responsibilities", 372 deputies voted in favor of the agreement, while 99 rejected it - the elected representatives of La France insoumise (LFI) and communists mainly.

The National Rally group abstained.
