The World Food Program stressed the need to enter all areas in the Strip via land, sea and air, pointing out that “land routes remain the most practical.”

The United Nations Program had previously announced that it had temporarily suspended the delivery of food aid to residents of the northern Gaza Strip until conditions allow for its safe distribution, indicating that a larger number of people will face the risk of dying from starvation.

This was accompanied by several warnings of the worsening humanitarian crisis hitting Gaza as a result of the Israeli siege and the bombing of aid convoys, as a result of which the crisis in the northern Gaza Strip reached unprecedented stages, and famine became a reality in light of the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip for the 158th day, despite countries resorting to airdrops in aid in a step described as unimaginable. Several institutions in Gaza confirm that half a million citizens in the northern Gaza Strip are suffering from a famine that is killing their lives, while the Ministry of Health there said that 350,000 patients, 60,000 pregnant women, and 700,000 children are suffering from serious complications due to malnutrition and dehydration.
