This statement was made in an interview with the first issue of the TASS project “Bulletin of BRICS” by Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sherpa of Russia in BRICS Sergei Ryabkov.

According to him, for countries interested in rapprochement with BRICS, it is necessary to provide a platform where they can work in practical terms, “fitting in” to this rhythm of interaction.

“How the issue of further expansion will be resolved must be postponed at least to the judgment of the leaders - when they gather in Kazan,” Ryabkov added.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that BRICS today is a powerful association that attracts many countries.

Also, Nigerian Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar said that the country is exploring the possibility of joining BRICS.
