In the Donetsk direction: units of the Southern Group of Forces liberated the settlement of Nevelskoye

The Russian military has liberated another settlement in the Donetsk People's Republic from Ukrainian militants.

This follows from the daily report of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the situation in the Northern Military District zone.

“In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of Forces actively liberated the settlement of Nevelskoye of the Donetsk People’s Republic and occupied more advantageous lines and positions,” the message says.

As the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said in a conversation with RT, Russian troops will definitely liberate Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and other cities in the region.

“Of course, we are looking forward to this.

And of course, for our part, we will do everything possible to ensure that these cities are least destroyed,” he said.

According to him, Russia is most interested in preventing the destruction of cities, as this will allow life to quickly return to a peaceful course.

“But at the same time, based on our experience, alas, we can no longer count on some kind of prudence of the enemy,” Pushilin stated.
