They will continue to strictly investigate and crack down, strike hard, and further promote " "Anti-pornography and anti-illegal activities" work, severely crack down on all kinds of illegal and criminal activities that spread obscene materials in accordance with the law, and make every effort to maintain social and cultural security.
The public security organs have given full play to their functions and vigorously promoted the investigation and handling of "anti-pornography and anti-illegal crimes" cases.
In 2023, public security organs across the country solved more than 4,500 criminal cases related to the spread of obscene materials, and destroyed more than 4,900 obscene and pornographic websites and APPs.
In order to further increase the supervision and guidance of key cases, the Ministry of Public Security, together with the National Anti-Pornography and Anti-Illegal Affairs Office, jointly listed and supervised the handling of 326 major cases, organized and launched cluster campaigns on 19 key cases, and achieved remarkable results.
The public security organs hold high the banner of "protecting children", carry out in-depth special rectification work on pornographic products involving minors, and severely punish the dissemination of child pornographic information, obscene comics and games, obscene handicrafts and other crimes that infringe on the physical and mental health of minors.
In 2023, public security organs across the country detected a total of 84 cases of online child pornography, 17 cases of production and distribution of obscene and pornographic novels, comics, games, and handicrafts, and seized more than 17,000 obscene games, comics, and animations, and 37,000 obscene novels. The Yu Department seized more than 230,000 obscene artifacts and made every effort to protect the healthy growth of minors.
During the work, the public security organs focused on the key links of the crime of spreading obscene materials, and carried out full-link and full-chain crackdowns on organizers, operators, service providers, and profit-seekers.
Focus on major communication channels such as domestic and overseas online social platforms, forums and communities, search engines, pop-up advertisements, and online disk libraries, dig deep into the gangs behind Internet pornography-related crimes, and destroy the source of the crime.
Focus on the crime of online obscene live streaming, dig deep and cut off the black and gray online industry chains such as source code development, technical operation and maintenance, domain name and server provision, fourth-party payment, and agency promotion.
In 2023, the public security organs destroyed 13 criminal gangs involved in online obscene live broadcasting and destroyed 25 one-on-one online obscene live broadcasting apps, involving more than 200 million yuan.
In view of the new crime of using artificial intelligence AI technology to produce obscene materials, the public security organs conducted in-depth research on the characteristics of the cases, improved their investigation and strike capabilities, successfully solved 2 related cases, and arrested 21 suspects.
