The government held its first meeting of a working team to verify responses to the Noto Peninsula earthquake, and in addition to initial response, identified issues with evacuation center management and material transportation, and is aiming to report verification results by June this year. I made sure to put it together.

The work team was newly established with personnel from related ministries and agencies centered around the Cabinet Secretariat, and held its first meeting on the 12th, with Disaster Prevention Minister Matsumura also in attendance.

In this regard, Minister Matsumura said, ``It is necessary to identify measures to overcome the issues that emerged as we look back on the series of responses and new technologies that are recognized as effective in disaster response, and reflect them in future measures. I would like to have a civil discussion that goes beyond this."

At the meeting, it was decided to identify issues and consider improvement measures in areas such as the government's initial response after an earthquake, support for affected local governments, evacuation center management, and supply transportation.

In addition, we confirmed that we will grasp the introduction status of new technologies such as drones and the latest communication equipment in the disaster-stricken areas, explore ways to utilize them further, and compile the verification results by June this year.

The content of the verification will be used for future disaster response efforts.
