Israeli military attacks continue in the Gaza Strip on the 11th, the first day of Ramadan, the Islamic fasting month.

Amidst the continuing sacrifices of civilians, United Nations Secretary-General Guterres called for an end to the fighting as soon as possible, saying at the start of Ramadan, ``I call on this sacred period to be a time of peace.''

Israeli military “airstrike on underground facilities used by Hamas executives”

Ramadan, the holiest month in which Muslims abstain from eating and drinking during the day, began in the Gaza Strip on the 11th.

Footage taken at the scene by The Associated Press shows people praying on the street near a mosque in the southern city of Rafah, which was destroyed by an airstrike.

Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesperson Hagari announced at a press conference on the 11th that they had conducted an airstrike on an underground facility believed to be used by Hamas executives in Nuseyrat, central Gaza Strip.

Spokesman Hagari claimed that there were two people in the underground facility, including Hamas's No. 2 military leader and a person in charge of weapons in the Gaza Strip, who were killed as a result of the attack. We are currently confirming whether this was done or not.

Local health authorities announced on the 11th that 67 people had died and 106 people had been injured in the past 24 hours alone.

In the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian situation is deteriorating, and not only are the number of victims of attacks increasing, but the number of people dying from malnutrition and other causes is increasing, and the World Food Program (WFP) is unable to provide food assistance by dropping aid supplies from the air. They say there is enough and are calling for urgent delivery of supplies by land.

“I have never spent Ramadan feeling so bad.”

In a video taken by Reuters on the 11th in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, a man evacuating from the north says, ``I have never spent Ramadan feeling so bad. I don't have any food to eat after sunset, and I have to buy it.'' "I don't have any money for this," he is seen complaining.

Negotiations for a cessation of fighting and the release of hostages have not made any progress, and on the 11th, Lebanese media reported that senior Hamas officials said that mediators Qatar, Egypt, and the United States "are not on our side and do not understand Israel's demands." ``Hamas, which is seeking a complete ceasefire, is dissatisfied with the negotiations.''

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview on the US FOX TV on the 11th, ``We have already annihilated three-quarters of Hamas's forces, and victory will be soon.'' I showed it again.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres: “Respect the spirit of Ramadan”

United Nations Secretary-General Guterres held a press conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on the 11th, coinciding with the start of the Islamic fasting month of Ramadan.

Secretary-General Guterres said, ``Even though Ramadan has begun, the killings, bombings, and bloodshed continue in Gaza,'' and added, ``What I would like to urge most strongly is to respect the spirit of Ramadan. We must put down our guns and remove all obstacles to delivering the life-saving aid needed quickly and at scale."

He also called for the immediate release of all hostages.

Secretary-General Guterres then called for action: "The world is watching. History is watching. We cannot look away. We must act to prevent further preventable deaths."
