According to her, the increase in French activity in Nagorno-Karabakh is a kind of compensation in the socio-political consciousness against the backdrop of the failure of French policy in Africa.

“We understand that this has nothing to do with peacekeeping,” Zakharova noted.

She added that Russia assumed and performed the entire peacekeeping role as a mediator.

In November, the Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that Western countries were making attempts to destabilize the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh.
